What is Shape Your Life (SYL)? — SYL provides free, recreational boxing for women (self-identified) who have experienced violence. SYL is place to learn how to box in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. The SYL boxing classes are designed for beginners and are held at the Toronto Newsgirls Boxing Club once a week. Each class is two hours long.
This is a free program. Equipment, TTC and free snacks are provided.
The new SYL session is Saturday 2:30 – 4:30, January 14 – April 15, 2017.
SYL participants (who have finished the SYL program) are also invited to join us for a drop-in boxing session (or weight training) with a SYL coach and Tania every Sunday 2:30-4:30. TTC tokens provided.
SYL participants (who just finished the SYL program) are also invited to a weekly free yoga session, led by yoga instructor Kim McBean. Yoga is Mondays 1:30-2:30 for SYL participants only. TTC tokens provided.
